Your Needs
Reduce transport expenses for mobile broadband traffic with cost-effective HSDPA backhaul over ADSL2+DSLAM infrastructure.
Our Solution
Because HSDPA (high-speed downlink packet access) traffic is asymmetric and bandwidth intensive, ADSL/ADSL2+ is an attractive option for transporting HSDPA traffic to the RNC as a low-cost alternative to expensive leased lines. RAD’s ACE-3105 multiservice cell site gateway, ACE-3205 multiservice cell site gateway and ACE-3220 multiservice cell site gateway support HSDPA backhaul over ADSL2+ access lines and DSLAM infrastructure, providing the required bandwidth capacity at a fraction of the cost of E1/T1 connections. The ACE-3105, ACE-3205 and ACE-3220 provide connectivity to ATM transport networks with end-to-end monitoring and QoS guarantees. Alternatively, they enable transmission over packet-switched networks via IP DSLAMs, using pseudowire functionality.
Benefits
- Enable quick deployments of mobile broadband services
- Keep operating costs to a minimum by using widely available ADSL2+ DSLAM infrastructure and economical packet transport networks
- Maintain service quality for content-rich applications
